The Senior Manager, App Dev will start up the DevOps function at HAVI as we begin the Agile journey. The individual in this role will lead our organization to become a DevOps environment and will manage the DevOps function enabling rapid product development, deployments, and maintenance. The Senior Manager in this role will develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures related to automated software deployment processes, establish measures to determine if organizational objectives, such as customer responsiveness, application performance, and deployment release schedules, are being met. Will also collaborate cross-functionally to prioritize organizational needs and ensure effective communication between the development and operations teams. Additional responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and effectively communicate product vision, strategy, road-map, and product blue prints to different levels of stake-holders
  • Lead and manage all aspects of application delivery, maintenance, and operations
  • Work with senior leadership in the organization design, execution, and organization risk management
  • Motivate and inspire direct reports and extended team to drive department vision, strategy, and objectives
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify and execute continuous improvement and step-change opportunities; measure and communicate the plan and progress
  • Define very large department, application, and operation budget; develops and presents business case; manage department, application and operational financial
  • Build, grow, and manage relationships with external customers, vendors, internal business, and IT stakeholders
  • Define, manage, and communicate metrics, measurements, SLAs with customers and vendors
  • Develop standards, controls and processes related to solution and service delivery
  • Research business and technology trends; develop plan and influence change within organizations to continually deliver business value
  • Manage the work performance of direct reports; serve as mentor and coach

Desired Skills & Experience

  • University Degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or a relevant discipline
  • Start-up mentality and experience leading a new DevOps organization
  • 7+ years of experience in leading/managing large teams and solutions
  • Experience in DevOps and Agile delivery methodology
  • Experience in collaborating with and/or leading application and service managers
  • Industry experience in supply chain or logistics is a plus
