Responsibilities

HAVI is seeking an intern to support the Human Resources team during summer 2018 in our Downers Grove location. Our interns participate in exciting projects and assignments that support our fast-paced business while working on your own and with team members as you embark on your career.

 

We offer a 3-month program (including networking events), 40-hour work weeks and a lunch subsidy to all interns!

 

Key Assignments & Projects 

  • Intern Advocate: Support our interns and gain their trust as their main point of contact
  • HR Generalist: Support the HR team by taking an active role in the day-to-day employee services tasks that impact our employee experience
  • Partner with our Centers of Expertise on various projects supporting Total Rewards, Talent Management and Talent Acqusition
  • Organizational Support: HAVI’s summer interns are responsible for preparing for and executing our summer Bring Your Child to Work Day (BYCWD). This is a popular program for our employees where they get to bring their children to the office so they can be a part of their parent’s professional environment. As a HAVI intern, you will support this organization-wide program, working with the other interns across the different departments to deliver a fun learning experience for our HAVI children.

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Successful intern candidates meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of sophomore year college completion; completion of junior year preferred
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 
  • Demonstrated time management skills through course work and extracurricular activities
  • MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Collaborative/teamwork oriented
