Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be senior Technology leader with 15+ years in leading a global infrastructure strategy and transformation. You will have experience driving the strategy and solution architecture forward within a transformed Logistics service line and have overall accountability for major projects to be executed on time and budget. 

 

You will report into the VP, IT services andwork closely with peers in Global IT Services, Global IT Architecture and Logistics IT Product Delivery to develop and deliver infrastructure strategies for transforming user services, network services, server and storage management services.

 

You will also drive the technical architecture discussions with the key strategic partner delivering outsourced infrastructure services and will play a key role in the governance of this partnership.

  • The ability to think Globally and scale market solutions on a global basis is necessary. Brings deep knowledge and innovation related to latest technologies across WAN/LAN, Data Centre, EUD and Digital Workplace
  • Lead, manage, and develop global virtual team
  • significant experience in working with outsourced infrastructure providers
  • Create high levels of energy and focus in internal and service provider teams, particularly in setting strategy and driving execution of program
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and can effectively communicate and influence many audiences

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 20+ years of experience in IT, either internal or as a service provider
  • 15+ years of leading infrastructure strategy and transformation
  • 5+ years of working with outsourced infrastructure partnerships
  • 5+ years of program management experience
  • Experience in other senior IT roles would be an advantage e.g. Applications, Major Programmes etc.
  • Bachelors (or Masters) degree level / equivalent qualification may be an advantage but is not essential
  • PRINCE2 or PMP Project Management certification would be an advantage but not essential
