Responsibilities

The Reporting Services Senior Developer Analyst role will architect and build reporting solutions, based on business requirements, primarily using our OBIEE and BI Publisher reporting tools.  This role will also provide support and maintenance for those tools.  In addition, this role will help train and mentor our user community on reporting tool features and best practices in support of self-service and ad-hoc reporting. Additional responsibilities: 

  • Lead business requirements gathering and reviews for small- to medium-complexity reporting solutions in a cross-functional setting
  • Design report, dashboard and metadata solutions, based on business requirements to meet business needs, and provide input on alternative solutions and trade-offs
  • Lead and contribute to reporting solution discussions in a cross-functional setting
  • Estimate project effort for reporting solutions
  • Create work plans, specific to project work assigned
  • Provide support in managing budgets, timelines, schedules, issues and risks for small- to medium-complexity projects
  • Build report, dashboard and metadata solutions, based on business requirements
  • Review report, dashboard and metadata artifacts created by consultants and employees
  • Create and execute unit and integration tests; lead and coordinate user acceptance testing for small- to medium-complexity projects
  • Review and test new reporting tools to replace or enhance existing tools or services
  • Provide production support by troubleshooting and analyzing issues
  • Support and assist in measuring and reporting on SLAs
  • Lead application and system performance tuning activities
  • Provide direction to onsite and/or offshore consulting team

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years’ Business Intelligence experience
  • 3-5 years’ data warehouse design, modeling, or development experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Oracle OBIEE and BI Publisher
  • Strong SQL programming experience
  • UNIX / Linux OS and scripting experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies
  • Proven ability delivering complex and time-sensitive projects
  • Ability to work with clients to understand current state processes and define future state processes based on business objectives
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Flexible, adaptable and an eager self-starter
