    Responsibilities

    HAVI is seeking an intern to support the Strategic Sourcing team during summer 2019 (June 3 - August 16) in our Downers Grove location.

     

    As a HAVI intern, you will participate in exciting projects and assignments that support our fast-paced business while working on your own and with team members as you embark on your career.

     

    We offer a 10-week program, 36-hour work-weeks, and a lunch subsidy to all interns!

     

    Key assignments & projects:

    • Provide spend analysis support for Strategic Sourcing Reviews (our formal bid process).
    • Research global raw material suppliers and assess their capabilities for potential supply options.
    • Provide sourcing support for McDonald’s Scale for Good Sustainability Initiative.
    • Refresh and enhance the Supplier Qualification Process including gathering cross-functional input and updating process documentation.
    • Develop a scoring matrix to track and trend the results of Supplier Performance Evaluations.
    • Support the develop of contingency plans for key strategic packaging categories across multiple customers.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    Successful intern candidates meet the following requirements:

    • Must be available June 3 - August 16
    • Minimum requirement of sophomore year college completion 
    • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the internship (Sourcing or Supply Chain)
    • Minimum GPA of 3.0 
    • Demonstrated time management skills through course work and extracurricular activities
    • MS Office experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Good written and verbal communication
    • Collaborative/teamwork oriented
